11.3.2018: DSD.net closes on March 31, 2018

Dear clients,
dear colleagues and suppliers:

After 27 years, I have decided to close my software company on March 31, 2018.

For me, everything started in the Atari world, when software and hardware were still not nearly as developed as today and when there was a gold rush mood in the young IT industry.

The opportunity to take over the lead in the already very powerful DTP program Calamus in 1997, brought the decisive thrust forward for my small company. Together with very dedicated developers and customers who gave us repeatedly creative suggestions, we have brought Calamus into the Windows and Mac worlds and could support many avid Calamus users long after the end of the TOS era. Calamus is still alive and often used by private individuals as well as by professionals.

The next big step was the new development of iCalamus, the little brother of Calamus, only available for macOS. Its sleek, intuitive interface and the new possibilities thanks to Apple's powerful operating system led many people without any typesetting and DTP experience to producing documents such as books, brochures, and posters with iCalamus on the Mac.

The support for many other interesting programs that could be offered in many languages thanks to diligent translators, was a third pillar of invers Software, called DSD.net. On this platform, we have offered and supported programs beyond the mainstream with great response.

It was a long, beautiful and exciting time with all of you. I thank all those who were in contact with my company as customers or suppliers, as developers or supporters or otherwise, for the wonderful years.

I'm going to start a new chapter of my life and I am sure to meet again the one or the other. You'll meet always at least twice in life.

As of today, there is a sale discount of 50% on several programs until the end of the month. If you want to get some, you have to hurry!

Important: As of April 1, 2018, all ordering buttons in all order forms will be switched off (no April fool). The website will stay online in order to keep the applications and information available. I myself can still be reached via the known email addresses if you still need support or have lost a license code.

Thank you very much for everything,
Your Ulf Dunkel
